Bird flu: Culling begins on slow note
A day after bird flu was announced culling began on a slow note in the affected areas in Bengal, 55 teams were sent to 105 villages of Birbhum district. Cullers went from door to door convincing families to allow their poultry to be killed. ''This is a very difficult job. My people are trying to cull the birds and we are still trying to convince the people,'' said Monatosh Mandal, Head of culling team.
