Bird flu: Poultry exports hit in Tamil Nadu
There's no bird flu in Tamil Nadu but the poultry industry in the state is paying a heavy price. After the bird flu outbreak in West Bengal, many countries have cancelled their regular export orders. As a result, a whopping 60 lakh eggs are getting accumulated every day in Namakkal, the poultry capital of the state.And the price has fallen almost by 30 per cent.
