Birth certificate brings hope for Manjhi
There's hope finally for Manjhi the Japanese baby born to a surrogate mother in India. A birth certificate was finally issued for her over two weeks after her birth. The issue got caught in a legal tussle as her biological mother abandoned her. Her biological father, a divorced Japanese, wanted her custody, but with no surrogacy law in India, there was a huge dilemma on who she should go to.
