BJP And Congress Protest Against AAP's Liquor Policy
The face-off between the BJP and AAP over alleged corruption using the liquor policy has intensified. After a war of words now there are protests on the ground. The Delhi BJP demonstrated outside Manish Sisodia's residence today. Mr Sisodia is under fire as he handled the excise department. In fresh trouble for the AAP government, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has recommended a CBI probe into its Excise Policy, 2021-22 over alleged violations of rules and procedural lapses, even as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal defended his deputy Manish Sisodia as a "kattar imandar" and said he could be framed in a "fake" case and arrested in a few days.
