BJP, Congress' Battle For The Women Vote
In the bitter fight on the Road to 2019, one of the big arsenals that the big two political parties are using is women empowerment. Both the Congress and the BJP are out to prove that they are the champions of women's rights and we saw that just as the monsoon session was starting with Rahul Gandhi's challenge - bring in the women's reservation bill. The one that his government had introduced in 2008 but has since lapsed. It used to be something both parites would agree on but this time around it's fodder for bitter politics between the two. Tonight we do a reality check on the claims of these two national parties, and ask who has really championed the cause of women.
