BJP divided over Patel's legacy
The legacy of India's Iron Man is now at the centre of a political divide in Gujarat. Narendra Modi is often likened to Sardar Patel. His followers call him the Chhote Sardar, a reference to Modi's image as a tough adminstrator and his iconic status in Gujarat. To take on that claim, BJP rebels have formed the Sardar Patel Utkarsh Samiti, which holds meetings all over rural Gujarat.
