Even as Aparajita Bill was passed in the West Bengal Assembly, BJP MP Saumitra Khan shot off a letter to the Union Law Minister seeking action against the Kolkata Police Commissioner. He alleges that the law and order situation in the state has been deteriorating since August 9. Saumitra Khan sought the Centre's intervention in restoring law and order in the state.
