BJP's Jamal Siddiqui On Request To Rename India Gate As 'Bharat Mata Dwar'
BJP Minority Wing's national chief Jamal Siddiqui writes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting that India Gate in Delhi be renamed as Bharat Mata Dwar. Speaking to ANI, Jamal Siddiqui said, "Ever since PM Narendra Modi came to power, he has renamed the relics of Mughals or the British, that mock us - the Indians, as per Indian culture. In this regard, we have demanded from the PM that India Gate is not just a memorial but an identity of the 140 Crore Indians. That identity should be with our name. If it is renamed Bharat Mata Dwar, a positive message will be sent across and it will also be a true tribute to the people who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle..."
