"BJP's Motive Is Political": Jairam Ramesh On UP Draft Bill On Population Control
The monsoon session of parliament begins from July 19. Ahead of the monsoon session, the government called an all-party meeting to ensure a smooth and productive session. One controversial issue expected to come up in the monsoon session is UP's proposed draft bill on population control. Congress MP Jairam Ramesh tells NDTV that the BJP's motive behind the proposed population bill is 'political'. He says: "Motive is to whip up communal passion, sentiment as the UP election is coming up".
