The Yamuna river pollution issue has become a political battleground in Delhi, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Indian National Congress (INC) trading charges over who's responsible for the river's deplorable condition. The BJP has been criticizing the AAP government, accusing them of failing to clean the Yamuna despite receiving Rs 8,500 crores from the central government for the purpose. On the other hand, the AAP has blamed the BJP-ruled Haryana government for releasing untreated industrial wastewater into the Yamuna, contributing to its pollution. In a symbolic protest, BJP's Parvesh Verma on Saturday took a boat ride in Yamuna and dipped former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's poster in the river.
