BJP's Path To 2019: Development Or Polarisation?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated time and again that his government stands for 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' (development without discriminating against anyone). But with the elevation of Hindutva icon Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, will the path of development be junked? Or should we view the leader from Gorakhpur as the new face of development? After the BJP's astounding victory in UP, ministers had harped on the development plan. But with Yogi Adityanath's elevation, opposition leaders and experts raise questions on whether the BJP, along with the development plan, will peddle on soft Hindutva? With over two years to go before the general election in 2019, all eyes are on the newly-elected Chief Minister and the path he will take.
