Bloody Friday: Sensex plunges
The benchmark index continued its free fall as it fell over 1000 points to tumble well below the 9,000 levels in the afternoon trade. Weak Asian markets and RBI’s unchanged rate policy pulled the markets to their new lows. Both the Sensex and Nifty are down over 10 per cent. The Sensex is trading at 8,747 levels while Nifty at 2,613.
