Boat With 700 kg Drugs Caught In Seas Off Gujarat, 8 Claiming To be Iranians Arrested
In a massive drugs bust, a boat carrying over 700 kg of methamphetamine, simply known as meth, has been caught off Gujarat's Porbandar after an overnight mid-sea operation. Eight persons on board the vessel who claimed to be Iranians have been arrested, officials said.
They are being questioned to find out the source of the drugs and where such a big consignment was headed, officials said. While there is no standard way to peg its actual value, it's suspected to be worth around Rs 2-5 crore.
