The death count in the Wayanad landslides has risen to 218, the district administration said on Saturday. Of the 218 bodies recovered from the landslides-hit areas, 152 have been identified by relatives, said officials. "Patients came in with mud and slush inside their lungs. We never saw such things in our life. We divided ourselves into teams... The bodies that came in were horrifying," Dr Manoj Narayan, Superintendent of Dr Moopen's Medical College in Wayanad, told NDTV's Pratibha Raman.
