Bolpur divided on Somnath quitting issue
Even as the debate continues on whether or not the Speaker Somnath Chatterjee should quit after CPM withdrew support from the UPA government, his own parliamentary constituency Bolpur in West Bengal is deeply divided over the issue. Some of his supporters feel the decision to quit the Speaker's chair should be left entirely to him. Others are not happy with his virtual defiance of the CPM's wishes and wonder what Chatterjee will do after the critical vote of confidence.
