Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented Budget 2018 and made two big bang announcements. The first announcement was the introduction of 'National Health Protection Scheme' aimed at providing coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families.
