TV Narendran, the global CEO and managing director of Tata Steel, said that some of the revenue targets set by the government to come from divestment is "aggressive". "It was aggressive last year. Last year was a pandemic year, they didn't get anywhere close to that. Let's hope they get some of it or most of it this year. Also, the focus on monetisation is important. In addition to divestment if they can monetise through the government assets, that will also help the revenues," he said. The Union government has set the FY22 divestment target of Rs 1.75 lakh crore.
