"It Is An Infrastructure Budget": CII Infra Council Chairman

Vinayak Chatterjee, the chairman of CII Infra council, called the Union Budget "extraordinary and a game-changer". "I see it (the budget) through my lens of infrastructure and it is well-conceived, well-structured, thoughtful and practical. I have noticed six very major thrusts in infrastructure and the whispers in the corridors of the CII is almost that it is an infrastructure budget. If you add up all the allocations, much of it was focused on infrastructure, which is what we had desired to kickstart the economy and to give the necessary impetus to public works," he said.
