Budget 2022: 'Political' Booster Shot
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will announce Budget 2022 today. She is expected to raise spending on infrastructure but fiscal constraints leave little room for concessions for pandemic-hit households. A day before the budget, the government's annual economic survey said India will lead the world in economic growth at 8-8.5 per cent and concluded that it has the headroom to do spend more.
