Farmers in Banaskantha district of Gujarat have raised several complaints ahead of this year's Union Budget, including the high price of diesel, expensive livestock feed, and the lack of guaranteed Minimum Support Price or MSP for their crops. Banaskantha is a renowned milk-producing district in the country with a strong cooperative movement. It is one of the largest milk producers in Asia. Milk producers here say, they can expand further with some more support from the government.
