Before buying an apartment, make sure you read the fine print of the builder-buyer agreement and compare the provisions of the Apartment Act of the state. Uttar Pradesh has included the words 'parking areas of common use', which is unique to the Act prevailing in the state, while other states only use the words 'parking areas'. This allows builders to charge separately for parking areas, and these can also be bought and sold separate from the apartments.
