Cairn-Vedanta deal in cabinet soon
With every passing day, Cairn and Vedanta must be even more anxious to seal the deal they have agreed upon, where Vedanta will buy Cairn's stake in the Rajasthan oil fields. In a sign that the oil ministry will firmly back ONGC's recommendation that the royalty fee be recovered from the proceeds of the oil well, Oil Minister Jaipal Reddy said ONGC's interests would be taken care of.
