A BJP lawmaker in Madhya Pradesh has boasted publicly that he can order an "encounter", apparently in a retort to a journalist. Velsingh Bhuria was attending a farmers' event in a village on Tuesday when he made the remarks. He apparently was offended when a journalist questioned whether he had the clout to make the local administration pay compensation to farmers.
