Can’t deforest our way to prosperity: Jairam Ramesh
In an exclusive interview with NDTV’s Anjana Menon, Environement Minister Jairam Ramesh, said we should recognize that India can’t deforest or pollute its way to prosperity. He emphasises that Indian can attain 9 per cent growth rate but there is a need to protect forests, rivers and mountains. He says it is not grow now and pay later philosophy.
