Shortly after a stunning claim by Hindu petitioners that a "Shivling" had been found in a pond at the Gyanvapi Masjid complex in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi, a court today ordered it closed off to the public. All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday termed the Gyanvapi Masjid verdict a "blatant violation" of the Places of Worship Act 1991. Further, Mr Owaisi asserted that he does not want to lose another masjid after Babri Masjid.
