Can You Kill Coronavirus With UV Light?
The coronavirus pandemic has put the spotlight on a decades-old technique to zap viruses and bacteria. Some studies support the efficacy of ultraviolet (UV) lights in disinfecting surfaces. As gymnasiums and yoga centres reopen under Unlock3, UV devices have come into the market to help sanitise spaces. To understand whether UV light can protect Indians from COVID-19, we speak to Rohan Oberoi, founde and CEO of Momentum India, who has conceptualised and designed a UV safe which they claim can eliminate 99.9 per cent of the novel coronavirus.
