Canada MP Chandra Arya Barred From Contesting Elections Over Alleged India Ties: Report

In today's episode of India Global, According to reports, Canada's Liberal Party revoked Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya's bid to run for party leadership and his nomination for the Ottawa Nepean constituency due to his alleged ties to the Indian government. The Liberal Party has not disclosed the reasons behind barring Arya, a three-term MP, from participating in the recent leadership race or from running again in Nepean. Reports indicate that Arya, who visited India in August and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, did not inform the Canadian government about his trip, despite the ongoing freeze in bilateral relations.
