Carriage fee a well regulated issue, won't relook at regulations: TRAI chairman
The News Broadcasters Association (NBA) has said that it is shocked with TRAI's recommendation, which legitimises carriage fees. TRAI Chairman JS Sarma, however, has said that they have already made enough provisions in the regulation to ensure that the carriage of channels is facilitated. "Carriage fee is now a well-regulated issue and it should be transparent. We will intervene if required but we won't relook at the recommendations," he said in an interview to NDTV.
