We discuss an issue that is deeply emotive for Tamils and also people of Karnataka. The waters of cauvery that have led to a litigation battle for over 20 years, political issue that has been debated for over 150 years. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has condemned the neighbouring Karnataka government over not releasing water in the Cauvery due to the state. He has also called for an all-party meeting in the Secretariat in Chennai tomorrow to decide on future course of action. Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has convened an all-party meeting on Sunday to discuss issues related to the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee's (CWRC) directive to the state to release the court mandates share of Cauvery River water to Tamil Nadu daily till this month end.
