Cauvery water war: farmer suicides on the rise
Tamil Nadu's battle for its share of Cauvery waters from Karnataka continues even after the central government notified the Cauvery tribunal's final order in its gazette. On the ground the delta region of Tamil Nadu, known as its rice bowl, is witnessing a drought. Paddy in four lakh acres is lost, affecting at least two lakh farmers. Farmers have begun committing suicide. NDTV brings you a ground report.
