Cavern for fuel storage: 486 ft below sea level
Most of the area in the deepest and first-ever underground mined cavern for fuel storage in South Asia had been mined and the excavated area is over 1.23 lakh cubic metres. The underground facility can store 60,000 metric tonne of liquefied petroleum gas or LPG.
