CBDT gets tough with Vodafone

After the Mumbai high court's dismissal of the Vodafone case on Wednesday the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) is back in action. Another tax notice will soon be served to Hong Kong based billionaire Li Ka Shing's Hutchison. However, the tax authorities are yet to ascertain the full value of the tax liability on the Hutch-Vodafone deal.
