The CBI has reopened the investigation against Lalu Yadav and his family members in the alleged railway projects corruption case. The CBI in 2018 filed a preliminary enquiry to probe allegations of corruption in rail land redevelopment projects when Mr Yadav was the Railway Minister. The preliminary enquiry was closed as "no case made out" in 2021. Now, the CBI has reopened the case. In the case, Mr Yadav is named along with his son Tejashwi Yadav, who is currently Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister, besides two of his daughters, Ragini and Chanda.
