Celebrating Pongal with the Jumbo in Tamil Nadu
As Tamil Nadu celebrates Maattu Pongal today, a day dedicated to the cattle, it\'s a day of thanksgiving at Madumalai Sanctury where elephants are at the center of celebrations. Sixteen of these elephants feasted on the Pongal (riceballs) and the season\'s other delicacies. And, it is also a special year for them.
