Census methodology at Sunderbans revised
The census methodology at the Sunderbans Biosphere Reserve of West Bengal has been radically overhauled. For the past decade, the headcount was done by making plaster casts of their pug marks, eliminating duplicates and arriving at an estimate. At the last count, that stood between 260 and 280.
