Central team visits riot-hit Kandhmal
A three-member Central team, headed by Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, arrived in Orissa on Monday to assess the situation in the riot-ravaged Kandhmal district. The team has already met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other senior officials after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had promised a group of Christian leaders last month that a team will give him a report from the spot.
