In the middle of a huge political controversy over the Rafale jet deal, the government today shared details of its decision-making process with petitioners who have asked for an investigation into the order for 36 jets from France's Dassault at the cost of Rs. 59,000 crore. Sources say the pricing details have also been submitted by the government in a sealed cover to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has said it will take up the case next on Wednesday. The government has made public a redacted version of the document it has shared with the petitioners, which includes the choice of India offset partners by Dassault and the company fitting weapons to the aircraft.
