IMF Chief Christine Lagarde was bullish about India's economic prowess and underlined the important role it will play in the global economy. Speaking to students at Lady Shri Ram College for Women in New Delhi, IMF Chief said that India is a bright spot and growth is likely to pick up to 7.2% in this fiscal, just as many countries are battling with low growth, India has been marching in the opposite direction. This is Christine Lagarde's first visit to India since the Modi government came to power.
