In an ambitious push for space exploration, the Centre has approved Rs 31,772 crore for missions, effectively establishing a roadmap for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) till 2040. The Chandrayaan-4 mission, a mission to Venus, and the enhanced Gaganyaan mission to include the Bhartiya Antariksha Station and the development of a new rocket all got approval from the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the first hundred days of his third term.
