Chennai: Confusion over top cop
The new police chief of Chennai, R Sekar, has taken charge and with the rising crime graph, he certainly has his task cut out. But as a matter of fact, Sekar is the first police commissioner to also have his jurisdiction cut out. The recent bifurcation of the city police has put sensitive places like the Chennai Airports under a separate sub-urban commissioner.
