Chennai Cops Stop BJP Leader From Holding Signature Campaign Over Language Row
A major controversy is brewing in Chennai, where police stopped BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan from leading a signature campaign in support of the National Education Policy (NEP). The campaign aimed to gather signatures from people who support the three-language policy under NEP. Ms Soundararajan, a former Telangana Governor, was taken into custody by the police, who said she didn't have permission.
