Chennai IPS Officer Gets Hero's Welcome After COVID-19 Duty

An IPS officer who was on duty at Chennnai's Koyambedu vegetable market, which has emerged as the latest epicentre for coronavirus in Tamil Nadu, had tested positive a few days ago. The officer, who didn't show any symptoms of the infection, received a hero's welcome as he returned home for home isolation, Residents, including IAS and IPS officers clapped and welcomed him from their balconies as well as on the ground.
