Chennai Residents Blame "Unscientific" Storm Water Drains For Floods

As Chennai grapples with impact of the recent floods triggered by extremely heavy rainfall brought by cyclone Michuang, NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to a cross section of flood affected people who raise questions over the efficiency of the Rs 4000 crore storm water drains project. Chief Minister M K Stalin, however, claims that without these drains, the city would have seen a disaster. He says the city received 44 CM rains in 36 hours this time against 34.5 CM in 24 hours in 2015 ahead of the massive floods then.
