Chennai Rains: After Deluge, a Flood of Help Offers
Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu and one of India's biggest metropolitan cities is desperate. Fresh downpour has worsened an unfolding disaster. People are stranded either in their homes or in their offices, food and water are in short supply and schools are shut. The airport has also been shut till December 6. Thousands of people in low lying areas are at risk, major roads are unusable. However, help has also been pouring in from all sides.
