As controversy grows with Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and BSP chief Mayawati raising questions over EVM tampering in the Punjab and UP elections, the Chief Election Commissioner S Nasim Zaidi has told NDTV that EVMs work like calculators rather than computers and have no internet connectivity, which is why they are not amenable to hacking. He also said it was ludicrous to suggest that pressure could be bought to bear on the Election Commission.
