Child marriage: A blot on motherhood
In Rajasthan, despite a more stringent law, child marriages are rampant. What's more shocking is that for every case of child marriage that is reported, more than 50 per cent of the cases go unreported. Child marriage is the one of the main factors in the deaths of young mothers during pregnancy as 40 per cent of maternal mortality is due to under age pregnancies.
