China beckons Indian medical students
For hundreds of aspiring doctors in India, who are unable to either find or afford a place at medical colleges, China has become the new Mecca of medicine. Tianjin Medical University began accepting Indian applicants in 2004 and has received far more applications than available seats. Today some 230 students from India are studying for an MBBS at the university.
