When asked whether the government needs to come clean on what is happening on the LAC, Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd), Former GOC of the 15 Corps said that "China does not trust India, China knows the potential India has. It will keep us under pressure. What is happening at the LAC is primarily designed to build a grey zone around us. Keep the continental area completely active so that we don't pay attention to the maritime zone. The divisive response we are giving is what China desires."
