China seeks to uplift nomadic population
As Beijing marches towards superpower status, it's developing its interiors and uplifting its minorities. The Naqu county of Western China is the Chinese equivalent of the Wild West where there is no human habitation for miles on end, except for the Tibetan nomads who tend to their flock of sheep and yak in the inhospitable terrain.
