Chinmayi's #MeToo Allegations Against Vairamuthu: Her Mother Recollects Ordeal

While Tamil singer Chinmayi has alleged sexual harrasment by well-known lyricist Vairamuthu, the vocalist's mother T Padmhasini recounts the ordeal she went through these years. Vairamuthu, she says, assaulted Chinmayi at his house. Her singer daughter she says ran out like a Cinderalla leaving a slipper. However, she gives the benefit of doubt to Vairamuthu for the Switzerland episode where organisers of an event allegedly wanted Chinmayi to "cooperate" by going alone with Vairamuthu. The lyricist has denied these charges calling them untrue.
